With this STL Dark History Neighborhood Collection, you can choose a St. Louis neighborhood and receive 4 to 5 true historical stories involving crimes, scandals, mysteries, disappearances, and other unusual events that took place there.
Each collection is individually researched, written, and designed by Rachel Woodall of STL Dark History using historical newspaper archives and other available records.
Whether it's a neighborhood you currently live in, one you grew up in, or one you've always been curious about, each collection offers a look into its darker history. You can order one for yourself or have one created as a personalized gift for someone else.
What's Included?
Each personalized collection features:
4 to 5 Historical Stories: True accounts of crimes, scandals, mysteries, and unusual events connected to your chosen neighborhood. No ghost stories or fiction. Every story is based on historical records, and the number included depends on their length.
Original Newspaper Clippings: Historical newspaper clippings related to the events, when available.
Historical Photographs: Images of people, buildings, and locations connected to the stories, when available.
Addresses & Locations: Street addresses or approximate locations connected to each event.
Choose Your Neighborhood
You can choose any neighborhood within St. Louis City, as well as the following communities:
Clayton
Kirkwood
Ladue
Webster Groves
Interested in a Specific Address?
Have a particular address you're curious about? You're welcome to include one street address with your order, and I'll see what I can uncover about its darker history. If I find a documented story connected to that property, I'll include it in your collection!
While I'll do my best to find something, I can't guarantee that every address has a dark history. If I don't find anything connected to your requested address, you'll still receive your full collection of 4 to 5 historical stories from your chosen neighborhood.

Ordering & Purchase Policies
Payment: Full payment is required before research or production begins.
Refunds: All sales are final. Because each collection is individually researched, written, and designed, purchases are nonrefundable once an order is accepted, except if STL Dark History is unable to fulfill the order or a refund is required by law.
Story Selection: All historical stories are researched and selected by Rachel Woodall of STL Dark History. You're welcome to submit one specific address for additional research, but I can't guarantee that I'll find a story connected to that property.
Personal Use: You're welcome to save, print, and share your collection with friends and family. I just ask that you don't resell the collection, publish the stories as your own, or claim the research and writing as your own work. A lot of time and effort goes into researching and creating each collection.
A Note About the Stories: These are not ghost stories! Each collection contains true historical accounts that may include descriptions of violence, death, crime, and other disturbing events.
Giving Back to the Community: These stories involve real people, families, and communities affected by tragedy. That's why 10% of every Digital + Printed Collection purchase will be donated to a local advocacy group. This donation applies only to the $100 Digital + Printed Collection option.
