If you had told me years ago that I'd spend my free time reading 100-year-old newspapers, I probably wouldn't have believed you. But somewhere along the way I became fascinated with the stories hiding in St. Louis' past, especially the ones most people have never heard.
I research old newspapers, court records, local history books, and archival records to uncover documented stories of crime, scandals, mysteries, disasters, and the people whose lives became part of St. Louis history.
I created STL Dark History because I wanted to share those stories in a way that feels engaging, approachable, and entertaining without losing sight of the real people behind them.
